SBA 101: How the Government Can Help With Your Small Business

The U.S. Small Business Administration is a federal government agency that offers support to small businesses and entrepreneurs. SBA has administered business grants, loans and loan guarantees, counseling sessions and other types of assistance to small businesses.

Headquartered in Washington D.C., SBA has district offices across the country. These offices help entrepreneurs with contracting, counseling and capital.”

SBA also provides set-aside programs that include HUBZone, 8(a)(socially/economically disadvantaged), small disadvantaged, service-disabled veteran-owned and women-owned businesses.
